ImageOver the past several years, the FMC has been blessed with some significant accomplishments. As you may be aware, eight Florida churches forged a cooperative missions society for the purpose of ensuring support to various South American churches. Given the climate of fear and mistrust in 2003, these accomplishments demonstrate the power of the Holy Spirit.

Because of the FMC's initial success they were awarded a grant to assist with funding high-impact foreign missions efforts.  More recently, the leadership of the Florida churches established a Florida Ministry Leadership Group.  This group is a coalition was formed with the goal of helping Florida churches plant new churches and forge greater unity.

Although the FMC mission churches in South America have stabilized their membership and are growing in number, an urgent need exists for trained full-time ministry leadership in several churches.  Six churches are currently led by volunteer ministers and lay members.  Additionally, the FMC revisits long-term (5-10 year) plans each year to ensure that the financial support is optimized with distinct objectives and clearly set goals. It is a concern of the FMC representatives that if the financial support sent isn't well considered it could become more of a dependency than a true aid to the growth and maturity of receiving churches.

With only limited promotion, many individuals have contacted the ministry staff in South Florida. These disciples expressed long-suppressed dreams to return to the mission field or to their home countries in order to win souls and help their families know the Lord.  The amount of energy and enthusiasm that has been ignited by the School of Missions is outstanding!  The immediate impact of setting out to establish the School of Missions was being felt before the first class was conducted.  Disciples from across the western hemisphere are inspired and relieved to know that a conduit is being set up that will invigorate the mission dream.
